Environmentally sensitive sites
The Terrafirma team are passionate about protecting the environment. They understand the need to provide environmentally sympathetic ground protection, particularly for environmentally sensitive sites including:

Unlike alternatives, Dura-Base is completely sealed, ensuring mud cannot ingress, so reducing the risk of cross contamination between sites.
Due to Dura-Base’s unique design and construction the ground sustains less damage and recovers more quickly than when alternative temporary roadways are used.
The Environment
With Dura-Base, less damage is sustained to the flora and fauna. The mat’s unique ability to spread the load evenly over its total surface protects the ground below.
Dura-Base will not deform under duress, but literally ‘floats’ over the surface it is protecting.
There is also no need for a membrane underneath Dura-Base access mats. This reduces not only your carbon footprint but also the use and disposal of non-recyclable membranes.
Floating pontoons
Dura-Base literally allows you to ‘walk on water’. Its honeycomb construction means it will float and can be used on water, marsh and wetland, providing a safe working platform for your personnel, without damaging the environment.
